1. Scope & Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how MY DIGITER ("we", "us", or "our") protects and handles information within the Hisaab24 Android mobile application (Package ID: com.hisaab24.com).

We are committed to transparent, privacy-first business software. We believe your ledger, customer transactions, and financial figures belong strictly to you.

2. Local-First Ledger Architecture (100% On-Device Storage)

Hisaab24 is built on a local-first offline architecture:

  • On-Device Room Database: All sales records, purchases, inventory stock, customer/supplier khata (credit and debit balances), expense entries, and business analytics are stored directly on your Android device in an on-device SQLite (Room) database.
  • No Remote Cloud Ledger: MY DIGITER does not operate central cloud databases holding, collecting, or inspecting your business transactions, khata entries, or customer details.
  • 100% Offline Bookkeeping: Creating invoices, recording sales, adding customer balances, and calculating reports work completely offline without requiring an active internet connection.

3. Device Permissions & Hardware Access

Hisaab24 requests access only to device capabilities that directly power user-initiated actions in the app:

  • Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used solely when you choose to scan product barcodes (processed entirely on-device via Google ML Kit) or capture item photos for your local product catalog. Captured photos stay on your device. The app remains fully operational even if camera access is denied.
  • Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used on Android 13+ solely to post due payment reminders and local backup reminders scheduled on your phone via WorkManager.
  • Vibration (android.permission.VIBRATE): Provides brief haptic feedback when a barcode is successfully scanned.
  • Internet (android.permission.INTERNET): Used only for optional network operations: user-initiated Google Drive backups, Google Play subscription verification, technical crash logs, and banner advertisements.
  • Bill & Receipt Sharing: When you share an invoice or account statement via WhatsApp, SMS, or Phone dialer, the app uses standard Android system intents to launch your chosen communication app. Hisaab24 does not read your chat logs, messages, or phone calls.

4. Google Sign-In & Google Drive Backup

Signing in with a Google account is optional and serves two specific functions:

  • Subscription Recovery: Your Google identity verifies and restores your Pro subscription status across devices.
  • Private Google Drive Backups: When you perform a backup, Hisaab24 uses Google's scoped drive.file permission to place the backup file directly into your own private Google Drive account. Hisaab24 cannot view or access any other files in your Google Drive, and MY DIGITER servers never receive or store your Drive backup files.

5. Diagnostics, Analytics & Advertising

To keep the application stable, fast, and supported, Hisaab24 uses trusted industry SDKs:

  • Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymized crash reports, ANRs (Application Not Responding), and technical stack traces to help us fix stability bugs. No customer names, phone numbers, or financial amounts are included in crash logs.
  • Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymized, aggregated app lifecycle events (e.g., app launches, screens viewed) to measure performance.
  • Google AdMob (Free Tier): Free users may see standard banner ads. In applicable regions (such as the EEA and UK), Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent dialog is presented to collect your privacy choices before personalized advertising is served. Pro users enjoy an ad-free experience.
  • Acquisition Analytics (Meta & TikTok SDKs): Receives strictly minimal, sanitized lifecycle signals (such as app install, trial start, or subscription confirmed) to measure marketing efficacy. These SDKs never receive ledger transactions, financial figures, customer names, or contact lists. Automatic in-app purchase tracking and enhanced data postbacks are disabled.

6. In-App Payments & Subscriptions

Pro upgrades and subscriptions are processed securely through Google Play Billing (or regulated payment providers where applicable).

  • MY DIGITER never collects, receives, or stores your credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or bank credentials.
  • All payment processing is handled directly by Google Play under Google's privacy policy. We receive only transaction validity tokens and status codes to activate your Pro license.

7. Account Deletion & Data Rights (Google Play Compliance)

You have full control over your account and data at all times:

  • In-App Account Deletion: Open Hisaab24 > Settings > Account > Delete Account. This permanently removes your Google/Firebase authentication identity and subscription linkage from our servers.
  • Email Request: You can request account deletion by emailing mydigiter@gmail.com with the subject "Hisaab24 Account Deletion Request" from your registered Google email address. We process verified requests within 7 business days.
  • Local Device Data: Because your ledger is stored locally on your device, deleting your cloud account leaves your offline ledger intact on your phone. To remove your local data completely, simply clear the app data in Android Settings or uninstall Hisaab24.
  • Google Drive Backups: Any backups saved to your Google Drive remain under your control and can be deleted directly from your Google Drive account.

8. Children's Privacy

Hisaab24 is a commercial bookkeeping tool intended for business owners and retailers. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Data Retention & Security

Because our architecture is local-first, the retention of your financial books is entirely in your hands. Local data remains on your physical device until you clear it or uninstall the app. Authentication records and subscription status are maintained only as long as your account remains active.
